Put DVD movie in your iPod touch/phone (or any device)

Aqua Teen Hunger Force
This instruction is for Vista (32 bit), Windows XP, and Windows 2000.
Recently, I’ve bought an Ipod Touch (8gb), and it was pretty great. I like it. So, I’ve searched for what the Ipod touch could do(Like how the ds(not dsi) with R4 can do: play music, run homebrew, play nes….). Well, I haven’t go that far yet, and I’ll get to the point now. How to put DVD movies in your iPod touch/phone (or any video playing device, like PSP, ps3, and xbox(according to Handbrakes preset as of this date)), and it’s quite easy.
You’ll need to download 2 things as said in the video. Downloaded DVD43, and so far, no malware activity is detected, but I don’t think this is a malware. Handybreak is safe to download, I humbly thank this tip from someone in the college I go to. Install DVD43 before you run Handybreak(you’ll have to restart your computer after the installation, so do that). Put in your DVD in your DVD drive, And make sure you follow his steps in the video.
Format: MP4
For Ipod touch(and assuming for Ipod Phone)… Width: 480, Height: 320
Video codec: MPEG4(ffmpeg)
Avg bitrate: 600
The Output settings format have/has(oh, grammer) 5 options in which you can save your dvd as: .Mp4, .m4v, .mkv, .avi, and .ogm. Mp4 format, from what I’ve heard, can compress alot of memory which means you can fit more movies in your device. I converted an episode of ATHF from DVD, and it weighed 60.7 MB, which is great(probably because the size it fits on the ipodtouch is small). I also watched an Azumanga episode, and it had 126MB. So, if you want to watch alot of DVDs on your Ipod touch/phone, then an 8gb won’t do, but that’s just me.
You can watch .mp4 on your computer with quicktime. But if quicktime, watching movies throught iTunes becomes an hassle; if you want to watch with less RAM consumption; or you want to watch .avi video, you can download VLC Media Player. Here, I discuss about it, but not much.
If you want to put episode from DVD(ex: azumanga), you’ll have to use judgement for this part:
![]()
And after that, go to the Audio & Subtitle tab and make some changes whether you want subtitles, Japanese Audio, English Audio, language audio and such.
Well, I hope this worked for you. Enjoy watching Movies on your device.
I’m not going to have time to make more post as of now, either I ran out of materials, but mostly I’m in college. My computer could distract me and affect my grade, so I’m avoiding that except homework. I’m saying this that if you come here and check my blog often, then don’t expect post being made once in a while. You could suscribe this blog with a FeedReader(Google Reader) so that you can read new post automatically, w/o going to this site. Well, See ya.
VLC player – Moved from XP to Vista?
Did you had an XP before, and you moved on to Vista? If you so happen to moved to Vista OS, some of the video files from your XP won’t play, like .avi and some .mpg. Well don’t worry, there is a way you can still watch them all on Vista. Go to http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ and download their VLC LAN player, it’s free, quite powerful and it’s clean! It may be better than windows media player(I use it because my laptop has a quick touch).
Although I don’t why the maker use a cone as their icon, but here’s an article from Wikipedia to make it less ambiguous.
The cone icon used in VLC is a reference to the traffic cones collected by Ecole Centrale’s Networking Students’ Association.[5] The cone icon design was changed from a hand drawn low resolution icon[6] to a higher resolution CGI rendered version in 2006.[7]

LimeWire – Download free mp3
You want to download a song you like? Then go to http://www.limewire.com/ and click on other version! Install it, and search for your song to download. My suggestion, do not download .mid file and ONLY download .mp3 files. You know what, now that I’m editting this post right now, I’ll make a list of the things you should know while using LimeWire.
- Do not download .mid files of the song you want. Check the tabs on your search results.
- Do not download .zip, .rar or any files that are compressed, because they may have virus.
- Do not download .htm, it could lead you to a website where they’ll give you spyware or malware.
- Do not download if it says “Ipod”(thanks to you for making Ipod a big hit, no offense though ;p), “funny”(ugh), ringtones, a movie title(except soundtrack, but if it’s .zip/compressed then don’t)or sex words.
- Do not download a movie, tv show, or tv clip.
- Only download .mp3 files.
- When downloading a song, check the Bitrate tab. If it has no Bitratebit, then the song won’t work.
- Check the speed. If it says, T3 or higher, T1 or Cable/DSL, the download speed will be good(only if you have cable/dsl or higher for your internet connection). If it says dial-up, broadband, 56k, or modem the download will be slow and may not be worth downloading. Downloading Lord of the rings with a modem is DEFINATLY not worth it)
- There is alot of spammers. Look out for their tricks, like free stuff or “funny family guy/southpark(I don’t know how it started but the fans who those show really liked tooo much)”
- Check your song’s size. Most mp3 are over 1000-2000 kb. One time I downloaded a mp3 that was 300kb and all it plays is some losers voice saying to visit a site he is spamming, obviosly to get paid because he is a money whore who can’t get a good job.
- Check the “#” and star tab. If there is a lot of people downloading or if the quality is good, download it.
- Do not try to complete half of all the songs you wanted to download in a day, you could get caught for stealing. Try to aim for a minimal amount, Like 5-7 per day. Downloading over 10 could be risky. But that’s just to stay on the safe side.
- I think that’s all, if I ever think of something, I’ll make a sticky post on this site.
You can download this software to replace LimeWire. I’ve heard people say it’s better, but I havn’t tried it and I may not use it. But the list would still apply, that I’m defiantly sure of. http://www.download.com/FrostWire/3000-2166_4-10627624.html

Sonic Adventur 2 – Escape from the city

How to download YouTube videos with Fire Fox(easy)
1. Open a Fire Fox browser/window
2. Click here for the Video DownloaderHelper add on
3. Click Download now, accept, then click restart
And you’re done, you should get a new, colorless icon on your browser with a small arrow that pulls down some options.
1. Go to your favorite youtube video site
2. Once it’s loaded, the icon should have color and spinning itself. Click on the down-arrow(not the icon), it will pull down some options, and click on the Video name(some videos have different name than the title) that ends with .flv.
3. Accept the download, and wait untill it’s downloaded.
4. Find the folder that’s called “dwhelper”. Open it.
5. You should find that video you downloaded, make sure you have FLV player installed(get vlc player, it’s way better than flv player). Double click it, and you should be able to watch it.
There you have it. You know how to download Youtube videos, and watch them on you hard drive/computer offline. There is a way you can convert them to normal video, but I’ll let you figure out, it’s in the dwhelper webpage. And it doesn’t have to be youtube, you can download any site that has flv. Have fun.
How to download YouTube videos now
Saw a video you like? Want to download it? Ok,I’ll show you how you can do it.
- Go to the movie you are watching
- Click on the address bar on your browser(make sure the whole address is highlighted) and copy it(CTRL and C). Or right click the URL and click copy(if the address is highlighted).
- Go to keepvid.com
- Paste the address on the URL bar(CTRL and V)
- Click Download
- Follow the instruction(make sure the file/video name ends with either .flv or .mp4), and you’ll download the video.
- Click here to download an FLV player
- Install the program(double click it, and follow)
- You’re done, now click that .flv file you download it to watch it.
If you are going to download in .mp4(sounds kind of pitched a bit high) then click here to download the VLC Player, install, and you can play your .mp4 files w/o quicktime.
The files and the flv are safe from virus and such. But depending on which website you are downloading, the web page may not be safe. Everything in YouTube is safe.
I got excited at first, but the downloading part got tedious. So I found another way to download .flv files. See you next post. Comment if you have any question.
Newgrounds
Newgrounds, the flash portal, long ago known for flash movies and games through the format of, .swf(shock wave flash). Newgrounds let user review a game, music, post, or movie. Some reviews can be helpful and some/most are ridiculous, mean, and unnecessary. Anyway, the reason why I show you Newgrounds is because they have some good games to play with you gamepad and joy2key, that if the mouse isn’t heavily relied. StarFire is a great game. In the past, Newgrounds undergo some chaos, but now, I don’t know whether it’s minimized or strengthen(I haven’t been there in a long time). So don’t get mad when seeing a flash movie you don’t like, or wasted time. Some bad flash(Turd Of The Week) are really funny, and the user are still yet mad out of nothing. You can learn a thing or two in Newgrounds I think. It’s a community so yeah, you’ll meet different people.
If you’ve found a game that you like on Newgrounds, there is a way you can save it on your hard drive, and play it with a bigger size on your monitor. If you use Fire Fox:
- go to the page of your favorite game/movie
- click play this game/movie or pop-up (if you have flashblock click the flash circle to let it run(if you don’t have flashblock, then move on)
- right click anywhere on the page(except the flash portion, which is the game/movie, which will say “play” or “About adobe flash player”)
- click on “Go to page info” or press “I”
- go to Media
- find a file that ends with “.swf” or if it’s found in the Embed type tag
- and click save as…
- hit enter
- wait for the download to complete
- you’ve download the flash, now, open a new window for firefox(ctrl and N or T)
- don’t maximize it yet, drag and drop the .swf file into the empty space of the new window you just opened
And there you go! You can play it on a big window, now press maximize and have fun.
Ok, I just went to Newgrounds and saw some review. There are all still idiots in elementary school. Don’t bother saving them, they are doomed, save yourself. Other than user, it’s still great. If you find an abusive review go here, flag them, do it a lot, and you’ll get some ng prestige. TOTW have a lot of abusive reviews.
